Striped hyena drama with a happy end

International trade is now more strictly regulatedants!

CITES will now offer stronger protection for the rare striped hyena. The recent decision in Uzbekistan is excellent news for the fewer than 10,000 animals left in the wild. NABU has long pushed for this improvement – and the effort has paid off.

Tshiring Lhamu Lama receives NABU Award: Congratulations!

Eleven snow leopards were killed in a remote region of Nepal. Tshiring Lhamu Lama refused to stand by and watch any longer and is now protecting the last 90 snow leopards in the area. Her species conservation work is having an impact, and this has been recognized with the NABU Snow Leopard Award. She tells her story here. more →
